Untitled 09
The full collection, wall by wall. Detailed specifications, dimensions, and series information are available for each work on inquiry. The rooms follow, one series at a time.
A museum kept
after dark.
Each piece is developed as a free-standing plaster relief or wall sculpture, and may also inform site-specific architectural applications. All works are original and never duplicated. Availability is noted individually; please inquire to confirm status.
Room I
Rorschach
A hang built on the mirror axis. Forms answer each other across the centerline of the room, the way ink answers folded paper.
Room II
Penumbra
Half in light, half in shadow. This room is lit the way the series is named: from the side, never head on. Seven works, hung at falling depths.
Room III
Mammatus
Hung from the rail at uneven heights, the way mammatus cloud pouches hang beneath a storm shelf. The series lends the gallery its arrival piece.
Room IV
Hortobagy
Hortobagy is the great plain of eastern Hungary. The room that carries its name keeps a single low horizon, and the works stand on it. Walk the line.
Room V
Dark Matter
The deepest room in the gallery, kept at low ambient light. Bring your own.

Dark Matter 01, 2021: the artist's first mature piece, and this room's point of origin. The series has since traveled as far as the Studio Como showroom in Denver. Original works are never copied or reproduced.
Room VI
Emanare
One work, lit from within the wall. The room holds nothing else.

The atelier
Trained in fresco.
Fluent in light.
Peter Varga is a contemporary artist whose work is shaped by a lifelong immersion in art, architecture, and craft.
As a young student in Hungary, Varga was sent to the principal's office, reprimanded for drawing instead of paying attention in class. There, he was introduced to a master fresco painter who would become his mentor, and nearly a decade of traditional training began.
He went on to work in the traditional Roman fresco method across churches, theaters, and historic buildings throughout Europe, including projects within the Vatican. He later earned a Master's in Architectural Design from the University of Sopron, where plaster became his structural and expressive medium.
With over 25 years in the material, Varga approaches his practice with a devotion guided by discipline, repetition, and continual refinement, principles closely aligned with Japanese master traditions. He creates freestanding work in his Chagrin Falls studio and travels across the US and internationally for site-specific installations.

Rooted in European craft lineage yet operating within a contemporary architectural framework, his practice collapses the boundary between object and environment.

Rachel oversees studio operations, client relationships, and long-term strategy, bridging creative vision and execution so each project moves with clarity and care.

Peter's brother, with over 15 years in plaster and residential construction. He executes finishes with clarity and control, usually with a layer of humor built in.
Original, and never duplicated.
Every piece in this gallery exists exactly once. Original works are never copied or reproduced; when a work informs an architectural installation, it is reinterpreted as a new and original piece, developed specifically to its environment. Varga's work has been exhibited, collected, and commissioned nationally and internationally.
